This report examines private reception in Rotterdam from the perspectives of host households and Ukrainian guests, including what supports stable arrangements and where tensions or barriers arise.

Private accommodation is an important part of local reception systems. Understanding both hosts’ and guests’ experiences improves support and reduces avoidable instability.
Methodology summary
Survey research conducted between 20 February and 15 March 2023 with 79 host households and 78 Ukrainian guests.
