Empatia at the European Conference on Mental Health 2024
The OPORA Foundation recently participated in the European Conference on Mental Health ๐๐๐๐ in Krakow, marking a key milestone for our Empatia Program. The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, professional growth, and collaboration with leading experts in the field of mental health.
With 300 participants from 33 countries, including professionals in psychiatry, psychology, social work, and mental health nursing, the conference facilitated a rich exchange of insights. Our colleagues, Anna-Mariia Sukhar ๐บ๐ฆ and Yeva Kardash, presented the Empatia programโs work of expanding mental health services for displaced Ukrainians, which led to constructive discussions and valuable feedback.
The ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ served as an important venue for learning and networking. Among other sessions, we participated at the ๐๐ค๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ and the panel on ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ค๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐. This was particularly impactful, underscoring the importance of mental health in post-conflict recovery by addressing such crucial topics as ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ and ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ.
We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Lauri Kuosmanen and the ECMH team for organizing such a productive event.
