Empatia
🌍The OPORA Foundation recently participated in the European Conference on Mental Health 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 in Krakow, marking a key milestone for our Empatia Program. The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, professional growth, and collaboration with leading experts in the field of mental health.
With 300 participants from 33 countries, including professionals in psychiatry, psychology, social work, and mental health nursing, the conference facilitated a rich exchange of insights. Our colleagues, Anna-Mariia Sukhar 🇺🇦 and Yeva Kardash, presented the Empatia program’s work of expanding mental health services for displaced Ukrainians, which led to constructive discussions and valuable feedback.
The 𝐄𝐂𝐌𝐇 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 served as an important venue for learning and networking. Among other sessions, we participated at the 𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 and the panel on 𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞. This was particularly impactful, underscoring the importance of mental health in post-conflict recovery by addressing such crucial topics as 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬.
We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Lauri Kuosmanen and the ECMH team for organizing such a productive event.
